I can’t figure out how to embed this thing (and much other content) without jacking the appearance of the rest of the site, so you’ll have to enjoy it via the link.

Revelations

Just a few recent ones…

My prices need to be raised.

Having a budget is a beautiful thing, whether you’re married, single, or just plain rich.

I think the hand strap I ordered today is going to be wonderful.

I prefer 4 classes a semester to anything more — the spacing allows me to do my thang.

I love love love taking pictures.

I need some more photographer friends — both for assisting on jobs as 2nd’s and just because I can’t talk shop with every and anybody about this stuff.

My style is my style is my style, and the clients that love it will buy it even if they don’t recognize it.

Training and knowledge of a craft far exceed the opportunities found by advertising it or gear-whoreing equipment.

Everyday is a good day, whether we accept it or not. That’s just the nature of being alive.

You learn more about yourself looking in the mirror than you do looking at what everyone else is doing on your monitor.

Running a business is a beautiful thing, when you run it like it’s your business.

If I could have a blog so dynamic…

It would probably have to jack some conventions from Panic’s website. If you didn’t know they make some stuff for the Mac. The one thing I appreciate in particular is Transmit. Nice reliable ftp program there, and it looks pretty too. But the site is dope — especially how they came up with a creative way for you to download the trials of the apps they offer.

aww man.

I just looked at the date stamps on the blog. 11 days? It’s not good for me to allow that to happen. I think I was stalling because I kept seeing that message above the write post dialog exhorting me to update. But alas, ftp’ing i feeleth not. Whatever.

This blog needs to stay WAY more current. This is unacceptable.

Consider me putting myself on notice. (eventually we’ll figure out a way to actually hold me accountable, but until then, we’ll just uh, look to keep content coming).

it’s been a while…

School…

A bit more time then I’ve been planning to budget, but we’re making it work. In the meantime, here’s something I’ve done recently. As in earlier TODAY. As you can see I was fooling with it. Enjoy.

Finally getting back in with some camera work. These courtesy of a chopped-up cornfield, some old timberland boots, and a couple other muddy situations.

debugging.

Sunday, January 27th, 2008

I don’t like debugging. It reminds me of the introductory programming course I had to take at Rutgers. (This moment affords me an understanding of how the “computer illiterate” may feel with internet and all that good stuff at this time.)

Apparently, I’m having some issues with a wordpress error that has not been permitting me to upload and display images on the blog. And if you know anything about wordpress, as wonderful as the platform is, support for it is extremely frustrating, and do-it-yourself at best. Hopefully, I can do this sooner than later, so I can get back to modding this blog so I can present it to the world through the conventional methods (eg. a nice little link from the main page if you please).

Yea, I don’t like debugging. At all.

this would be nice.

Writing for Engadget? Not sure what the pay would be like, but I gather it’d be an unquestionably good look just for the gear-whoreism.

interesting.

Apple is making money. Info courtesy of one of my favorite tech blogs, Engadget. Interesting how they had to make 9.6B to walk away with 1.58B.

You don’t know my expenses, I gotta buy bigger plates…

Good ol’ cost of doing business for you.  Looks like Apple’s is somewhere in the 8B range. What’s yours?

but I don’t wanna…

Looks like I’m gonna have to manually transfer all those old posts from the previous blog to this blog because the wordpress importer won’t work with a .com/whateveraddressyouhadyourblogatthatwasn’tthemainpage. I would say mean things about wordpress, but I like wordpress.

So I won’t. But I will complain about all those posts.

Update: Just discovered that if I switched the blogger blog to be hosted on blogspot (now done), I could import the posts, and man that worked kinda smoothly. Just didn’t get the images. And uh, I don’t know that I’m going to work to put those there images back up, so much as making a folder on flickr or something for all the images to come. Hosting them on the server seems to be a pain.
